Interested in making money? Not replacing your current job, just more money? You may want to pay off any outstanding debt, fund your dreams or saving for those shoes! You could find a part-time job, but that comes with a schedule. Why be bound to another schedule.You can make the money on the side at your leisure. We all need a little extra money to help get by; it’s understandable. Here are 20 of the easiest and most lucrative side gigs you can do NOW or whenever you want.

1. Drive People Around

It might not sound so glamorous, but keep in mind that it could actually be a nice way to make money daily. Also, thanks to services like Uber  getting this gig is even easier than before. I even tried it for 2 months and then I ran into car trouble. As a woman, it was refreshing that most of my rides were after-school pick up from students!! Not kidding, 70 percent of my riders were students.

2. Rent Out Your Car

This option is excellent for people who have a car but don’t drive much. You could rent your car out for the day or a weekend!

3. Tutor

Are you really good at academics? Do you have a great way of connecting with students? Consider this. Often times, the sessions are only 30-60 minutes so not time consuming, and you could make as much as $40 for the hour.

4. Rent a Room in Your House

Hey, there’s a reason why we have Airbnb. This service has helped people make massive income from the free rooms in their homes. If you don’t mind having guests in your home for some time, it might be great for you.

5. Walk Dogs/ Pet Sit

Take your passion for animals and channel it into a source of income. A lot of people have pets and no time to cater to them; you could help fill that void.

6. Grocery Shop

It might be a little more capital-intensive than a lot of options on this list, but you could hardly go wrong with grocery shopping.

7. House Sitting

House sitting is one of those jobs we never knew existed. You pretty much have to stay at your client’s house and ensure that the home is well-kept while they’re away. How could you be bad at this?

8. Charge Electric Scooters

If you have many free outlets and live close to somewhere that gets a lot of stopping traffic, then you could make a killing with this. Electric scooters are becoming all the rage, and you could pretty much make cash off them. Where I lived previously, utilities were included! I would see my neighbor bring in 1o-20 scooters per night to charge!

9. Deliver Food

The babysitting space has pretty much been around for as long as I can remember. Look after busy professionals little ones while they go out for the evening or weekend getaway. Sign up for Nanno, It’s like the Uber for Childcare.

11. Become a Notary Public

A notary public serves as a representative of the government who serves the public in a wide array of matters, from deeds to estates and much more.

12. Lease Your Basement or Shed for Storage

A lot of people need space to store some of their old stuff. Or they could be moving out, and they need somewhere to store their things in the meanwhile. If you have a lot of space at your home, you could actually help out… and earn a $100-400 per month in the process.

13. Sell Baked Goods

Hey, we love our pastries and sweets. You could open a small business by selling baked goods. I have a friend who makes almost $1,000 per month selling cookies (chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, snicker-doodle and sugar) Who knows? This could become your full-time passion!

14. Use Your Car for Advertisements

Yes, that’s right. If you don’t mind driving around in a branded vehicle, you could pretty much get paid by a company to put promotions on your car and help spread the word about what they’re providing. The company even pays to wrap and unwrap your vehicle! I participated in a campaign 3 months ago that paid $500 for 3 weeks! Admittedly, most campaigns only pay $100 per month.

15. Declutter and Sell Your Stuff

Decluttering is never easy, but it can show you a lot of things that you just don’t need. Try it; you’ll be surprised at what you discover. Sell the gently used items on eBay or Mercari.

16. Become a Stitch Fix Stylist

Stitch Fix is one of the most popular personal styling brands in the world. You could work for them as a personal fashion consultant and see where the job leads.

17. Join a Freelance Platform and offer Virtual Assistant Services

Freelance platforms like Fiverr or Thumbtack provide you with an opportunity to showcase your skills and earn a steady income. You can offer social media management, email management, website development or even travel planning. The options are endless! There’s a wide array of people who could use your skills, and these platforms connect you with them.

18. Do Hair

If you’ve got some beauty skills, then you can actually open a salon or do hair on the side. It’s a bit capital-intensive buying hair supplies, but you should be able to buy most of your hair care products and tools for under $400 on Amazon to make it work if you’re serious.
